On Monday 18th October, Books and Bakes Book Club met at The Institute, Grays Road, Grangefield to discuss the October Book Club Book “A Duty to the Dead” by Charles Todd.
On Monday 4th October, retired teacher and published author Bryan Cross attended the Books and Bakes Book Club at Grays Road Institute to talk about his first published book “Quit While You’re A-Head”
On Monday 20th September, Books and Bakes Book Club met at The Institute, Grays Road, Grangefield to discuss The Memory Keepers Daughter by Kim Edwards.
On Monday 6th September, award winning local author Amy Lord attended the Books and Bakes Book Club to talk to the group about her book and all things book-publishing related. You could see how passionate Amy is in her craft in how fully and honestly she answered all of the questions.

The first book to be enjoyed by the attendees of the new Books & Bakes book club, hosted by Hand In Hand Activities CIC thanks to funding from the National Lottery Local Connections Fund, was The Restaurant by Roisin Meaney. The Restaurant is a fictional “Cinderella story” about second chances and finding happiness in unexpected places.
